Jesus Esparza Mata, 92, passed away on July 29, 2018 at Palo Verde Hospital. He was born to Amelia Mata Garcia and Rosalio Esparza Abad on January 11, 1926 in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico.

He was a Mechanic Welder.  At the age of 24 he married the love of his life, Celia Garcia, and from that union eleven children were born.

Jesus is survived by his wife of 68 years, Celia Garcia, six children, Rosa Maria Esparza Garcia, Maria del Rosario Esparza Garcia, Beatriz Esparza Garcia, Maria Guadalupe Esparza Garcia, Javier Esparza Garcia, and Martha Amelia Esparza Garcia.

He was preceded in death by children Jesus Esparza Garcia, Teresa Esparza Garcia, Juan Diego Esparza Garcia, Gerardo Esparza Garcia and Martin Esparza Garcia.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Frye Chapel at 6 pm with Rosary recited at 7 pm.  Mass will be held August 9, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 9 am.  Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
