Jesus Raul De Leon Escalante (Chuy); (Pikachu), 32, passed away on July 28, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1991, to Jesus and Maria De Leon in Nayarit, Mexico. He was second of four siblings.

Jesus moved to Blythe, California in 2005. Chuy graduated from Twin Palms High School in 2010. He worked at various farming companies including Fisher Farms. Chuy met the love of his life, Stephanie Rangel. They married in June 2021 and welcomed to the world their daughter, Ivanna, in 2022.

Chuy was a family-oriented man who never thought twice about helping family or friends in times of need. His daughter, niece, nephews, and younger brother Sergio were his world. They never went without if it was up to Chuy always ensuring they had the best Christmas and birthdays and whatever they needed. Chuy loved to watch and play soccer; he was an all-time Chivas fan. Music was also something you'd see him listening to no matter where he was, his favorite artist were Mozzy and Gera Mx. Chuy was full of life always telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He always did things on a whim never thinking twice, he would wake up and want to take a random trip to the beach. He was a handy man even if it was something that he never fixed before he would find a way to make it work.

Chuy is survived by his wife, Stephanie Rangel; daughter, Ivanna De Leon Rangel; father, Jesus De Leon; mother, Maria De Leon; sister, Iliana (Christian); brothers, Armando and Sergio De Leon; niece, Renee Haehl; nephews, Matteo, Liam, and Axel Haehl and Santiago De Leon.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jose Escalante and Jesus De Leon; grandmothers, Francisca Mora and Zoila Llamas; aunt Alicia De Leon and uncle Raul De Leon.

Chuy will be greatly missed and will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel 633 N 7th St, Blythe, Ca. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 875 E Chanslor Way, Blythe, Ca.

A celebration of life will be held immediately following the funeral services at the VFW 148 N 1st St, Blythe Ca.
