Obituary

Jeffrey Neil Camden
June 26, 1972 – July 2, 2023

Jeffrey Neil Camden was born on June 26, 1972 to Larry and Theda Camden in Blythe, CA where he grew up with his older sister, Melissa.

In 1990, he met Felicia Wallace and in November of 1991, they had a daughter Chelsea Camden.  Shortly after her birth, Jeff was in a terrible car accident.  He was in the hospital for five weeks in critical condition but was given a second chance at life.

In July of 1992, he met Joleen Bunch and her daughter Kylie, who was 1 ½ at the time, and Jeff raised her as his own.  In 1993, Jeff and Joleen were married.  They had three children together: Summer, Jeffrey Jr. and Dillon.  In 1996 Jeff moved his family to Utah, first Elsinore then Richfield, where he lived until 2020 when he moved back to Blythe.

Jeff had a passion for cooking and was a very talented chef.  He started his career at the age of 17 as a line cook here in Blythe at Jerry's Restaurant.  He also worked at Denny's and the 76 Truck Stop on the Mesa.  In Richfield, UT, he worked at the R&R Frontier Village for many years.  Jeff has had the pleasure of cooking for several famous people, including Rob Zombie, George Clinton and the Funkadelics and Ozzy Osbourne.

Jeff also loved golf and fishing which he did often with his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed sports, off-road racing, football and basketball; Michael Jordan and the Green Bay Packers being among his favorites.

Jeff was a very fun and outgoing person who made friends everywhere he went.  He had a zest for life, a zany sense of humor and a laugh that was contagious.  He was a light to those around him and left a lasting impression.

He always taught his kids to live life to the fullest and to make the most of whatever comes your way.  I know his values, his love for cooking, music and all the things he enjoyed will be carried on through them.

He was a loving father and a proud grandpa who will be missed very much.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Larry and Theda Camden, his sister Melissa Holland, his children Chelsea Sar, Kylie Hungrig, Summer Findlay, Jeffrey Neil Camden Jr. and Dillon Camden, his grandchildren Aiden, Anthony, Caylee, Adrien, Keosothy, Khmaya, Alexia, Aubry, Jeffrey M, Zoe, Maizie and Jaxon, his nephews Dakota, Daniel and Layne, as well as all of his aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Jeff will be held on Monday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God, 531 W. Hobson Way in Blythe.
