Jaime Peña Castro passed away on April 26, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
He was born in Tlazazalca, Michoacán, Mexico, to Consuelo Castro Magaña and Miguel Peña Cerda. He was raised in La Yerbabuena, Michoacán, where he developed the humble, hardworking spirit that would define his life.
A devoted Catholic, Jaime carried his faith with him throughout his life. Jaime later made his home in Blythe, California, where he and his beloved wife, Ana Maria Peña, raised their three children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who always put his family first.
Jaime worked as a construction worker and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing and watching soccer, a passion that brought him joy throughout his life.
He will be remembered as an easygoing and humble man whose kindness touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, his children, and his three grandchildren, along with his large extended family, including six brothers and four sisters. His family spans across Florida, California, and Mexico, all of whom will continue to cherish his memory.
Jaime is now reunited in heaven with his parents, who preceded him in death.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
Visitation for Jaime will be held at Frye Chapel and Mortuary on Monday, May 4th from 5-8 p.m. with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church Tuesday, May 5th at 10 a.m.

Nació en Tlazazalca, Michoacán, México, hijo de Consuelo Castro Magaña y Miguel Peña Cerda. Creció en La Yerbabuena, Michoacán, donde desarrolló el espíritu humilde y trabajador que definió su vida.
Católico devoto, Jaime llevó su fe consigo a lo largo de toda su vida. Más adelante estableció su hogar en Blythe, California, donde junto a su amada esposa, Ana María Peña, crió a sus tres hijos. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano y amigo dedicado, que siempre puso a su familia en primer lugar.
Jaime trabajó en la construcción y era conocido por su fuerte ética de trabajo y dedicación. Fuera del trabajo, disfrutaba jugar y ver el fútbol, una pasión que le brindó alegría durante toda su vida.
Será recordado como un hombre humilde y tranquilo, cuya bondad tocó a todos los que lo conocieron.
Le sobreviven su querida esposa, sus hijos y sus tres nietos, así como su extensa familia, incluyendo seis hermanos y cuatro hermanas. Su familia se encuentra en Florida, California y México, y todos conservarán con amor su memoria.
Jaime ahora se reúne en el cielo con sus padres, quienes lo precedieron en la muerte.
Será profundamente extrañado y recordado por siempre por todos los que lo amaron.
