Obituary

Ismael (Miles) Gomez Jr., age 46, passed away Sunday, May 20th 2018 in Rancho Mirage, California surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico on November 3rd 1971 to Ismael and Maria Gomez.  He came to the states when he was seven years old.  He was a graduate of Palo Verde High School Class of 1991.  In 1997 he went on to marry Daisy Perez.  Together they raised three wonderful children.  Miles and Daisy enjoyed spending time together with their family and friends.

Miles was employed by Ironwood State Prison where he enjoyed working.  He enjoyed the company of his coworkers and enjoyed interacting with people from many different walks of life.

Miles special interests and hobbies included raising a family; in particular, spending time with his grandchildren.  He had a passion for nice cars and enjoyed watching novelas.  Miles all-time favorite thing to do was dance.  He never heard a song he couldn't or didn't want to dance to.

Miles is survived by his beloved wife Daisy of 20 years; sons, Ismael III and Santiago; daughter, Bianca; two grandchildren, Adrian and Irie; his brother Juan (Evy) and many more nieces and nephews and many beloved in-laws.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24th 2018 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 100 W. Murphy St. in Blythe.  Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.

The Gomez family would like to extend our gratitude to all those who have accompanied us through this journey.  We are truly thankful for all of the prayers that have been made on our behalf.  We have felt the strength and blessings that come from them.
