Henry Albert Jones, 89 years old, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2020, surrounded by members of his loving family by his side.

Henry was born in Des Arc, Arkansas on September 11, 1930 to Robert and Mary Jones. He lived in Arkansas until the age of 13 when they left to go west. They first arrived in Eloy, AZ where the family worked picking cotton and later moving to Blythe where he began working in the produce industry. The family followed the harvest seasons from Blythe working in the walnuts, melons, lettuce and hops, traveling as far as Clear Lake, CA. Later on, Henry became well recognized as one of the top box makers in the melon and fruit industries, along with stitching lettuce cartons. He later started contracting with his two businesses, Jones Brothers Boxmakers, then later with H and A Boxmakers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Jones; siblings, Alfred Jones, Jimmy Jones, Elsie Toy, Nellie Toombs, Pearl Parsons, Derma Carson and Nina Fox; son, Kevin Jones and stepson, Kenneth Clark.

He is survived by his brother, Tom Jones of Missouri; sisters, Coralee Clark of Ehrenberg, AZ and Lorene Bennet of Blythe; sons, Delbert Jones and Lloyd Jones, both of Blythe; stepson, William Clark of Clovis, CA; daughters, Ava Loyd (Joel) and Carol Ecret (Tom), both of Blythe; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 6th at 9:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel with services and burial following at 11:00 a.m. at Palo Verde Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and potluck will follow the services with location to be announced following services.
