Obituary

Hazel Lovell Miller passed away on September 1, 2020. She was born on November 10th, 1937 in Beaver Falls, PA to George and Pauline (Bent) Church, the sixth of eight children. When she was about 12 years old her family moved to Midland, CA, where her father worked for the local gypsum mine.

Clayton and Hazel married in 1954 and made their home in Blythe where they raised five children, all boys. Hazel worked for many years as a waitress and sold Avon products to make extra money. In later years she prepared taxes for the local H&R Block.

Hazel was affectionately called Honey growing up. She would later be called Grandma Honey by many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Hazel is survived by her husband of more than 66 years, Clayton, sons George Jr. (Malorie), Daryl (Anita), Larry, Brian (Jamie), and her brother Sam (Becky) Church.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, six of seven siblings and her son Calvin.
