Gregory Betts was born on September 14, 1959 in Blythe, CA.  He was the fourth of five children born to Edgar and Lois Betts. Gregory graduated from Palo Verde High School in Blythe in 1977 and was employed with the City of Blythe for two years. He then worked in the cotton harvest both
locally and out of state and later became a cook at the Courtesy Restaurant in Blythe.

Gregory moved to Indio and was employed at an air conditioning contractor for many years where he worked the parts desk and in sales. Around 2012, Gregory moved back to Blythe to help his mom with things around the house. Gregory enjoyed working on cars and helping his friends with repairs on their cars.  He also liked to tinker with things around the house. Gregory was a helpful and giving person and will be greatly missed.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Timothy (Tommie Lou) Betts of Victorville, CA; one sister, Brenda (Ira) Johnson of Buckeye, AZ; one nephew, Michael Betts of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Betts and Mother Lois Betts; two brothers, Edgar Betts Jr. and Alvin Betts; and one niece, Dayoneshia Betts.

Memorial services for Greg will be held on Tuesday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m. at Greater White Rose C.O.G.I.C. in Blythe.
