George
Rodriguez
Jul 31, 1963 — Oct 12, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George Rodriguez, who departed this life peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 62. He was surrounded by his loving family in Goodyear, Arizona.
George was born on July 31, 1963, in Blythe, California, to Jesus and Felipa Rodriguez. He grew up in Ripley and attended local schools in the Palo Verde Valley. George married Amalia Lopez, and together they had three children. Though their marriage ended years later, they remained friends and continued to share in the lives of their children and grandchildren.
George was a hardworking man who took pride in what he did. He worked as a fuel truck driver, spent several years with Helena Chemical Company, and for the past 20 years worked as a maintenance technician. George was always willing to help anyone in need. Anytime someone would call him for help whether it was to fix an appliance, a vehicle, or a house project, George was on his way, even if it was after working his shift at his job. His generosity touched so many lives.
Family meant everything to George. He shared a close bond with each of his siblings and created unforgettable memories with his children and grandkids. He loved going hunting with his son Jorge and grandsons Alex and Liam. He enjoyed watching football and cheering on his Green Bay Packers. George also had a passion for music, dancing, and celebrating life. Anytime there was a party, he would pick out a new outfit and show up ready to hit the dance floor. He especially loved to dance with his daughter Esmeralda. When the Corridos and Mexican music started playing, they would sweep the floor together.
George always brought laughter with him; he had a way of saying things that made everyone around him laugh, and he leaves behind many memories that we'll cherish forever.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Leonor Rodriguez, granddaughter Alexia Rodriguez, father Jesus Rodriguez, mother Felipa Rodriguez, brother Ramon Rodriguez, nephew Xavier Rodriguez, godson and nephew Joseph Angel Padilla, and brother-in-law Amador M. Rodriguez.
George is survived by his daughter Esmeralda Carlos and son-in-law James Carlos; his son Jorge Jr. Rodriguez ("Taco") and daughter-in-law Sunnie Rodriguez; his grandchildren Kaillou, Leonor, Alex, Aryanah, Liam, and Leanna; his siblings Angela Rodriguez, Luisa Perez, Jessie Rodriguez, Emilio Rodriguez (Sandy), Hector Rodriguez (Concha), Arturo Rodriguez (Carolina); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.
