Obituary

Gary John Rodriguez peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2017. He was born on June 12, 1954 in Long Beach, California where he lived for 18 years.

Gary spent the majority of his education in Catholic schools. In High School, he attended seminary at Our Lady of Queen of Angels in the San Fernando Valley. After, he attended California State University Long Beach where he majored in Spanish.

Later, he moved to Blythe, CA where he worked for Morgan Corp for more than 20 years.

Gary loved to read and write and was often considered a philosopher. He loved all sorts of music but especially rock and roll. He especially loved to spend time with his family and friends, going to the river and ocean, and going to the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona.

Gary never had an enemy and embraced everyone that knew him and even those that didn't. He would give his last dollar or the shirt off his back if you needed it. All that knew him also knew that one of his favorite things to do was eat and barbeque! His love of food was evident and was known by all.

Above all, Gary was a beloved brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel and father, Edward.  He is survived by his siblings: Ed Price of Azuza, California, Paul (Elia) Rodriguez of Blythe, California, Kathy (Rene) Elizalde of Blythe, California, Ray Rodriguez of Blythe, California and long time brothers, Brent (Susan) Maire of Mont Clair, California and Kevin (Hilda) Rounds of Blythe, California. Gary is also survived by nieces and nephews that he loved so very much and an enormous amount of extended family and friends.

He will be missed everyday by all those that knew him.

Memorial services for Gary will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 at 12 pm at McIntyre Park on 26th Avenue and South Intake in Blythe, CA. Please BYOB.
