Frankie L. Coats, aged 90, passed away on March 21, 2026, in Blythe, CA. Born on August 29, 1935, Frankie was known for her soft-spoken, gentle, and kind demeanor.

Frankie dedicated many years to waitressing before she chose to focus on her role as a wife and mother, a decision that reflected her nurturing character. She was an active member of the Blythe Church of the Nazarene, where she contributed to various activities, including communion, church upkeep, potlucks, fundraising, fellowships, and retreats. Her commitment to her community and church was profound and felt by all who knew her.

Frankie is survived by her children, William E. Coats, Sandra H. Crochetiere, Beckie G. Hollingshed, and Wanda J. Hammock; 10 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Ross Coats, her children, Lawrence Harvey and Wendy Coats; a grandchild, Greyson Benstead; and siblings, Almer, John Henry, Sammy Joe, J.D., Juanita, Jessie, Grace, and Noretta.

A service will be held on April 2, 2026, at 11:30 at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Blythe, CA, with a celebration of life potluck to follow immediately at the Blythe VFW. Frankie's life and legacy will be honored as family, friends, and community members come together to remember her warmth and kindness.
