Frank J. Soto
November 29, 1971 – January 20, 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Frank James Soto. Frankie, 52, gained his wings on January 20, 2024 at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA.
Frankie was born November 29, 1971 in Blythe, California to Hortencia and Angel Soto. He attended the local elementary schools and graduating from high school in 1989. He also attended PVC and received certificates in both welding and autos.
Frankie was born and raised in the Westside in Blythe. He proudly loved his hometown and enjoyed many things in life. He loved grilling, music, hitting the casinos and playing poker. Frankie also loved sports - a lifetime fan of the LA Rams and Dodgers - and this love led him to coaching. He was active in coaching for Blythe Little League, flag football and tackle football. He encouraged many local youth to participate in sports to keep them positively active and off the streets. Frankie also had a passion for lowriders. He was instrumental in bringing the City Cruisers Club chapter to Blythe in 1994, where he had remained the Club President since it was established. The club members became his familia and represented his club proudly.
In 2003, he was blessed with his one and only son, Frank, II, his pride and joy.
Frankie loved his family and they will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his son, Frank Soto II; his siblings, Martina (Vicente) Castellanos, Maria "Nina" Soto, Diane C. Soto, Mathew L. (Elizabeth) Soto, Ruben (Paula) Soto, Angela (Inez) Martinez, Angel Soto Jr. and Vickie Soto; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents Hortencia and Angel "Kato" Soto and his brother Stevie Soto and sister Lori Soto.
