Francisco Castro Cardenas was one of eight children born to Juan and Ocativiana (Castro) Cardenas in Ayo el Chico, Jalisco, Mexico on July 10, 1929.

He married Maria Navarro August 20, 1949 in Ixtlan, Michoacan and together they had nine children: Juan (Maria), Hermila (Leonardo†), Alicia, Lidia (Fito), Ana (Raul), Francisca, Beatriz, Cecilia (Gene) and Francisco (Josie). He also leaves behind 35 grandkids and 36 great grandkids, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Francisco was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and his wife of 67 years, Maria, in 2016.

He worked in the Palo Verde Valley for many years as an irrigator until his retirement. He then moved to El Centro where he lived comfortably until the Lord called him into His arms on August 22, 2021.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but will always remain in our hearts.
