Evelyn Elms
May 8, 1943 – August 22, 2025

Our beloved Evelyn was born on May 8, 1943, in Salinas, California, to Guadalupe and Alfonso Hernandez.

A devoted wife to Bill Elms for 49 beautiful years, Evelyn was the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to Diona and Dorian Elms (Abri Elms), a cherished grandmother to Ryan (Ana), Cole, Bryanah (Adam), Cristian, Ty, Ashton, and Kaleb, and a treasured great-grandmother to Kai and Carmen. She was also an adored sister, aunt, and godmother.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sisters Lillian, Carmen, and Helen.

She graduated from Beauty College in 1962 and was an icon for over 63 years in her career as a dedicated and passionate cosmetologist.

Evelyn will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her unwavering faith and love for her Lord and Savior, and her generous heart. Her kindness, warmth, and strength touched everyone she met. She found her greatest joy in creating a home filled with love and laughter, celebrating milestones, created lasting memories and heartfelt traditions.

Our family's cherished matriarch, Evelyn, was called home, by her Savior Jesus Christ, on August 22, 2025, at the age of 82, surrounded by the faithful love of her daughter and son, Diona and Dorian Elms.

Evelyn's spirit and legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in every shared memory, and in the hearts of those she touched, knew her, and will continue to inspire. She will be deeply missed and forever lovingly remembered.

A Celebration of Life for our loving Evelyn will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church on Thursday, September 4th:

Mass 10:00 a.m.
Celebration of Life 12:00 noon at the Church Hall
