Obituary

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Ernesto Vingochea, our loving husband and father, was called home by our Lord Jesus. He was six days from his 94th birthday.

Ernesto was born on March 31, 1926 in Ajo, Arizona to Juan Vingochea and Adelina Murieta. He attended public school up to the 4th grade. At this very young age he began to work to help make ends meet. He learned and worked at mechanics, welding and as a farm implement operator. In Mexico he drove trucks transporting produce from Sinaloa to Baja California. He also worked as a mechanic on a fishing boat, etc.

Eventually he met and fell in love with she whom he would marry, Dolores Moreno Espinoza. They were married in 1957. They lived in many different parts of Sonora, Puerto Penasco, Trincheras, Caborca and San Luis. They had six children, Patricia, Homer, Juan Diego, Bertha, Alonso and Armando.

In effort to better provide for his family he returned to the USA to work while at the same time arranging the family's immigration. In 1973 their documentation was realized and they moved to Welton, Arizona then to Yuma until 1977 when he brought his family to Blythe and remained to the present date.

In Blythe, Ernesto hired on with High and Mighty Farms. There he proved himself to be invaluable. He had the ability to readily see and resolve nearly any mechanical issue. His mechanical prowess aside he was always fun to be around as he had an endless storehouse of jokes or humorous wise cracks. Though he lives on in our hearts he'll be greatly missed.

Ernesto is preceded in death by his son Alonso and grandson Joaquin. He leaves behind his wife, five sons and daughters, twenty one grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

Private burial services will be held on Tuesday (Ernesto's birthday), March 31, 2020.
