Ephrem Richard Daniel, also known as Bebe, passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 91 in Riverside, California. He was born on September 8, 1932, in Yuma, Arizona, to his late parents Ernest Daniel and Claudia Sambrano. Bebe was a beloved husband to his late wife Mary Helen Gallardo, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was a proud father to six children: Rosanne Delgado (Leonard), Cathy Daniel, Ephrem Daniel Jr, Thomas Daniel, Ernest Daniel (Marian), and Magdalene Madrigal (Gustavo); brother to Rosemary Daniel, Ernest Daniel Jr., Linnie Daniel, Thomas Daniel, Earl Daniel, Steven Daniel.
Bebe will be remembered as a loving husband, brother dedicated father, grandfather to 12 grandkids, 33 great grandkids, 5 great great grandkids and a good friend to many. He had a warm and compassionate personality, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Throughout his life, Bebe was known for his kind-hearted nature and the positive impact he had on the lives of those around him.
In his early years, Bebe served in the US Navy from May 1952 to March 1956, demonstrating his commitment to his country. After his military service, he pursued a career as a mechanic, working at the family mine. He later joined Riverview Farms and then 1965 went to work at Palo Verde Irrigation District (PVID) until retirement in 1995, showcasing his skills and dedication in the field.
Bebe had a passion for various hobbies, as a kid baseball, track and fishing. He later stayed busy building model airplanes, dream catchers and enjoying the company of his grandchildren. These activities brought him joy.
Bebe's educational background included attending Yuma High School, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavors. He found solace and spiritual guidance at Saint Joan of Arc, his place of worship. Bebe will be deeply missed by his surviving brother, Earl (Bea), his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the community he touched.
Services will be held in his honor with Visitation at Frye Chapel on Friday, March 1st from 5-8:00 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Blythe. All are welcome to attend.
