It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of Emma Galvan, a loving wife, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother and great grandmother.

Emma departed this world on May 9, 2024 at the age of 76, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. While we mourn the loss of this beautiful soul. We should also celebrate the life that she had.

Emma was born in Fresno, CA on December 13, 1947 to Edward B. Rodriguez and Hilaria Rodriguez, Emma was married to Oscar Galvan on April 18, 1967 and had two children Eric and Christopher.

As a wife, Emma's love for Oscar was as strong as her faith in God. They met as children, dated in high school and were married for 57 years. Anyone who was around them could see the love and commitment that they had for each other. Their marriage was a true love story.

As a mother, Emma showed love, wisdom and guidance into the lives of her sons Eric and Chris. She taught the value of compassion, love and integrity. Her unconditional love and support were a source of strength for Eric and Chris throughout their journeys.

Emma's role as a grandmother and great grandmother was one she cherished deeply. Her love knew no bounds.

Emma loved everyone she came in contact with and would pray for them, her faith and belief in God was strong. Emma prayed and recited the rosary every morning before starting her day.

Emma loved having family gatherings at her house, always hosting birthday parties for the grandchildren and family always knew holidays would be at her house. Emma loved to cook for everyone and was absolutely obsessed with having a clean house.

She loved the opportunity to create lifelong memories with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to all of their sporting events, and spending vacations together, usually at a beach house in San Diego.

Emma was proceeded in death by her parents, Edward B. Rodriguez and Hilaria Rodriguez.

Cherished grandmother of Erika (Adrian) Cruz, Brooke (Jordan) Knight, Christian (Yessica) Galvan and Ryan (Akayla) Galvan.

Great Grandmother of Alazae Cruz, Jaden Cruz, Ty Cruz, Bashtian Galvan, Nixon Knight, Gwenley Galvan and Nash Knight.

Dear sister of Becky (Louis) Valenzuela, Ruby (Jesus) Coronado and Eddie Rodriguez.

Services for Emma will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 875 E Chanslor Way, Blythe, CA.

Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Emma are invited to join in honoring her memory.

May her soul find eternal peace, and may we carry the love she bestowed upon us, keeping her memory alive in our thoughts and prayers.
