In Loving Memory of Emilio Rangel

March 26, 1979 – June 20, 2026

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Emilio Rangel, who passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2026, at the age of 47, surrounded by the love of his family.

Emilio was born on March 26, 1979, to Elias Rangel and Ana Bertha Rangel. Throughout his life, he was known not only for his strength and dedication but for the kindness and generosity he shared with everyone around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, his high school sweetheart Maylen Rangel and his cherished children, Elias, Emilio, and Mireyli, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Sebastian, Emilio, Saint, and newborn Amiliana as well as Ana who he treated as his own whom he adored deeply and his sisters Andrea, Evelyn, and Liz.

For 19 years, Emilio proudly served with the Department of Corrections, dedicating himself to his work with commitment and integrity. Outside of his career, he found his greatest joy at home with his family. He loved music, especially old-school classics, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than cooking for the people he loved. Whether it was a backyard gathering or a family dinner, Emilio made sure everyone else had a full plate before serving himself.

One of Emilio's greatest gifts was his ability to connect with people. He loved long conversations and always tried to offer thoughtful advice, encouragement, or a listening ear to anyone who needed it. He had a way of making people feel heard, valued, and welcome. His familiar greeting, "What's crackin', foo?", never failed to bring a smile and instantly made everyone feel like family.

Above all else, Emilio was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The love he had for his family was evident in everything he did, and his greatest purpose in life was making sure they were cared for, protected, and loved.

Those who knew Emilio will remember his generous heart, his unwavering love for his family, his sense of humor, and the countless conversations that left people feeling wiser, comforted, or simply smiling. His presence filled every room, and while his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his love, lessons, and memories will remain with us forever.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that the love Emilio gave so freely will continue to live on through his family, his friends, and everyone whose life he touched.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
