It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Ella Mae Ector, who peacefully departed this world at the age of 93. Born in 1930, Ella Mae was a beacon of faith, love, and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ella Mae was a woman of profound faith, who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her unwavering devotion to God was the foundation of her life and the source of her strength. She was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, serving as the Usher Board President with humility and grace, touching countless lives with her wisdom and compassion. She was also a part of the senior choir and was the Banquet and
Program Chairperson.

A pillar of our community, Ella Mae was known for her generous spirit and gentle heart. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, always offering a listening ear and a comforting word. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, where friends and family gathered to share in her joy and wisdom.

Ella Mae's legacy is one of light and love. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her love was unconditional. She taught us the true meaning of faith, hope, and love, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived. Ella Mae's spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us to live with purpose, to love with all our hearts, and to hold fast to our faith.

Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Eveldon Love Moore, and Henry Caver, and step-father Angel Moore, husband Marcus Ector, Jr., son, Casey D. Ector, and stepson Lonald (Lonnie) Ector.


She is survived by her sisters, Darlene Jones, and Betty Horton, children, Cynthia (Ann) Ector, Marcus Ector (Dionisia), Marcelet (Marci) Ector, grandchildren, Michael Ector (Amy) , Marcielle Ector, Brianna Williams, Cheyanne Ector, Zachary Baines, Jessika Grijalva, great-grandchildren, Elijah Ector, Mason Ector, Marcus Ector, Jaykob Grijalva, Pvt Frist Class Danyiel Grijalva, Alexyca Grijalva, Tim Nguyen, Justin Nguyen and Talisa Nguyen, Goddaughter
Barbara Powel Bowens and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Rest in peace, Ella Mae Ector. You will forever be our guiding light.

Services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Frye Chapel with visitation beginning at 10am and funeral starting at 11am.
