Eleanor
Diaz
Sep 16, 1936 — Jan 28, 2026
Eleanor Ballesteros Diaz was born on September 16, 1936 to Cruz and Concepcion in Del Rio, Texas.
Eleanor was a resident of Blythe, CA for over 60 years. Eleanor's biggest highlight was being a mother of 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls. Eleanor never drove a car, but she liked to walk everywhere in Blythe with her favorite sister Eva. Eleanor enjoyed getting together with her best friends Mary and Helen Lira.
Eleanor was a caregiver.
Eleanor was a strong woman of faith, who acknowledge God before doing anything in her day.
Eleanor moved to Sacramento, CA in 2024 with her daughter Erlinda.
Eleanor spent her latter days going to church and church functions, movies, getting her hair done, shopping for clothes. Eleanor is survived by her children Stella, Maryann, Manuel, Yolanda, Pedro, Jenny, Daniel, Erlinda, Angelo, Salvador, Rosemary, Rudy, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Our mom met her last days with Love and Grace. The Love that covers a multitude of sins and the Grace to see her through. There was a Ram in the Bush provided for mom, and God used our sister to be that for her.
We must remember it's not how you start the race of life. It's how you finish. And our mom finished Amazing. Eleanor left a legacy and she will be missed dearly.
We little knew the day that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link us again.
