Edward Kenneth Gallegos, 'Ed', a licensed vocational nurse at Palo Verde Hospital and Blythe Post Acute, died unexpectedly on April 26, 2021 at the age of 37 in Blythe, California.

Ed is survived by his parents, Fernando and Lillian Aguirre; his wife, Jessica Gallegos; his children, Matthew and Nicole Gallegos; his sisters, Amber (Mark) Shinn and Liana Perez; his nephews, Tre (Alexa) Harvey, Ezequiel Perez Jr., Nathan and Landon Shinn, Urijah Perez, Ian Harvey (great nephew) and his one and only niece, Azriel Perez.

Edward was born in Monte Vista, Colorado on October 6, 1983 to Fernando and Lillian Aguirre; and grandparents Elisardo and Aneda Lopez.

Edward was a devoted father and nurse. Ed was known as the heart of the hospital where he gave his heart to the community in the Emergency Room. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his wife and children. Ed was the strength and the light of his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and other lives he touched.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 5th from 5-8:00 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church. Burial will take place at a later date in Rio Lucio, New Mexico.
