Edulia
Saldivar
Jan 31, 1938 — Jul 16, 2026
Edulia Saldivar, 88, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving children.
Edulia was born on January 31, 1938, in Uvalde, Texas, to the late Leocadio and Elvira Flores. She was one of eight children and lived a life centered on faith, family, and love.
Edulia found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She had a beautiful smile, a contagious laugh, and a caring heart that touched everyone she met. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, she always put others before herself. Her kindness, compassion, and unconditional love will be remembered by all who knew her. Truly, to know Edulia was to love her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Amalia Saldivar; Marta Lucio (Alfred); Guadalupe Barela; Paula Saldivar; Herlinda Encinio (John); Sylvia Herrera; Armando Saldivar (Monica); Alfredo Saldivar (Mayela); Cesar Saldivar (Virginia); and Delia Morales. She is also lovingly remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Edulia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Herminio Saldivar; her parents, Leocadio and Elvira Flores; her brothers, Ruben Flores, Rodolfo Flores, Leo Flores, and Raul Flores; and her sister, Lydia Flores.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her legacy of love, strength, faith, and selflessness will continue to live on through the family she cherished so deeply. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Services for Edulia will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Rosary beginning at 9 a.m. and Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
