Eddie Beatrice (Jones) Lov e was born May 14, 1945, in Blythe, California to Edmond and Frances Jones.  She was the second youngest of thirteen children.

Eddie was baptized at an early age at the Bethel African Methodist Church in Blythe where her family attended.  She later joined the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Blythe.  As her health declined, she would have Bible study at home and daily read the scriptures.

She attended local schools until she married early in her high school years to Ellis ( Johnny ) Stinson.  Shortly thereafter, they moved to Northern C alifornia.  To this union, two beautiful children were born: Norma Yvette and Shelcie Ann.  After a few years, the family returned to Blythe and she and Ellis later divorced.  She later married Augustus Love and this union lasted over thirty years .

Eddie was a very creative person.  She loved working with flowers and for a short time worked at Blythe Florist and Gift Shop.  She later partnered with a close friend , Cleatus Wilson, and formed the C & E Enterprise, a flower business making arrangements and specializing in florals using silk flowers.  She also loved to knit and created many beautiful pieces.

She loved people and was i nvolved in many organizations. She was a member of the Palo Verde Hospital Board, President of the local Chapter 111 of the California School Employees Association; served as the Assistant Regional Representative of Region 10 and was a member of the CSEA State Negotiation Committee.  She was a member of the Blythe Community Advisory Committee; worked with the voter's registration drive for Riverside County; involved in various local school activity programs in which her daughters were involved including 4-H , PTA and Girl Scouts.

She served as Past Worthy Matron and member of Evergreen Chapter No. 65, Order o f the Eastern Star ; served on the Riverside County Fair Board of Directors for several years; was a bus driver for the Palo Verde Unified School District for many years until her retirement in September of 2010.

She loved her family and was available to offer a warm smile, humor, advice and help when needed.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Eddie was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Frances Jones; four brothers: Charlie, Elmore, William and Roy; and five sisters: Martha, Nina, Dolores, Barbara and Estelle.

She leaves to mourn : her loving daughters Norma Yvette Stinson of Palm Springs, California, and Shelcie Ann Love of Bermuda Dunes, California; her adoring granddaughter, Raquel Love of Bermuda Dunes, California ; godson Victor Carter, Jr., of Naples, Florida; brother, Carl Jones of Blythe, California; sisters: Julia (Steve) Mack of Eldorado Hills, California, and Eunice Winston of Los Angeles, California, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, all of whom will cherish her memory.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Frye Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
