Obituary

Dorothy Parker Gable, 92, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Yuma, AZ, in her daughter Karen's home, where she resided, surrounded by loved ones. Born in the Philippines on June 16, 1932, she was preceded in death by her three husbands, John Goodro, Lowell Tex Parker, and David Gable, as well as two of her grandchildren, Andrea Parker and Dale Mallett Jr.

Dorothy is survived by her six children and their spouses: Carla Rice (Steven), son Randy Goodro, Kerry Crichton (Rick), Sharon Hipwell (Pete), Karen Mallett (Dale), and Jerry Parker (Misti). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her favorite pastime was being involved in her church, Calvary Chapel, with Pastor Mick Catron in her hometown of Blythe, CA, and crocheting hats, scarves, and blankets to donate to missions in Mexico.

Dorothy, also known as Grammy, is much loved and will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, her willingness to laugh at herself, her generosity, her gentleness, and her ability to make everyone she met feel as if she'd known them forever. She loved God, Jesus, and her family above all else. She will be greatly missed by her family and by all those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held for Dorothy at Palo Verde Cemetery on Friday, April 11th at 10 a.m.
