Dorothy Flores, born on June 14, 1941, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will always be remembered. Known for her strength, love, protective nature, wisdom, and craftiness, she touched many lives with her practical lessons for life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Luciano Flores, whom she married in 1959. She also leaves behind her children; daughters, Ernestine Tennefos, Deborah Bloome, and April Flores, and sons, Luciano Flores Jr. and Andrew Flores. She was predeceased by her son, Jimmy Flores.

She was also predeceased by her mother, Anita Mendoza, her sister, Anita Sanchez, and her brother, Charlie Campos. Dorothy's ability to make a family wherever she went will be missed, but her spirit lives on in her family's stories and memories.

A devoted member of her community, Dorothy served as a fundraising member of the Palo Verde High School Marching band and volunteered at Salud, a local Service Organization. Her crafty side was recognized at the local County Fair where she won best of show for her exquisite crocheting.

Her greatest accomplishment was raising six productive and loving children. She never missed a chance to find teachable moments, passing on her wisdom and instilling a strong work ethic in her children. A diligent woman, Dorothy dug deep to find her genealogical roots, reflecting her desire to never forget one's story.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held on September 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Frye Chapel & Mortuary, with a reception following at the VFW from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Let us gather to commemorate her life and remember her not just for the impact she made on her family, but a legacy that will be carried on for generations.
