Doris Feemster, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, transitioned on June 1 at the age of 80 after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her son, Michael Feemster, daughter Leslie Rayner (Jim), granddaughters Alexa Solis (Tyler), Nicole Salazar and Raquel Taylor (Jeff), grandson Kenneth Feemster, great granddaughter Kennidy, and great grandson Jeffrey.

Doris was born on August 30, 1943, in Blythe, California. She grew up in Blythe and graduated Palo Verde High School in 1961. Doris worked as a dispatcher for the Blythe Police Department where she met her husband, Robert Feemster. She worked for Blythe Junior High for many years and had a positive impact on many of the students that attended. These students kept in contact with her and often invited her to their respective homecoming reunions.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Feemster, brothers Myron (Skip) Martin and Ray Martin.

Though her absence will be profoundly felt by her family and friends, the memories she shared with all of those who loved her will continue to live on in their hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion in Blythe on Saturday, July 27 at 2pm.
