Deveon
Smith
Oct 15, 1996 — Jul 8, 2024
Blythe
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Deveon Smith. Deveon was unexpectedly and tragically taken from his family and friends on Monday, July 8, 2024. He was 27 years old, taken so soon.
Deveon was born to Claudia Ramirez & Alfredo Ramirez on October 15, 1996 where we was raised in Blythe, Ca.
He attended Blythe Middle School where he met his wife, Jorden Peoples. They gave birth to 3 beautiful children, whom Deveon loved so much. As a husband, Deveon would do anything for his wife. Deveon and Jorden met as teenagers and have been together for 12 years, making a happy family. They both had a saying in which they ended every conversation with saying, "Forever and Always". Anyone who knows them knows they are a one of a kind relationship. Their love for each other will forever live on.
Deveon's role as a father was one in a million. He enjoyed cuddle time and watching movies with his children. He taught them strength, honesty, and responsibility but most importantly, he taught them unconditional love. He didn't judge them and often times allowed them to be their own person. There was nothing more he loved then to be a father.
Deveon loved all his family and has left a huge impact on everyone. He enjoyed family gatherings at his moms and nanas house, as long as there was food involved, just know he was going to be there. If he wasn't eating at an event, he was calling his mom or wife to cook him something up. Deveon never left a plate full. He was a loving, hungry man.
He had a great passion for many things in life. He loved to play video games, football and binge watch movies. He also enjoyed other hobbies including listening to music, hanging out with family/friends, fishing, and graffiti. His favorite hobby was riding his quad. He was often told he was a "daredevil" due to all the crazy tricks and stunts. Deveon loved to do just about anything that would take him outdoors.
Deveon had a great sense of humor, always cracking jokes. He had a sarcastic love and the ones closest to him knew he never meant any harm. One thing about Deveon is that he always tried to make the best out of the worst situations. He knew how to put a smile on all of our faces. Deveon also enjoyed the consumption of alcohol when attending events and family gatherings. His favorite drinks were Hennessy and Twisted Teas. He brought light into a world that felt so dark and made the people around him feel so loved and welcome.
He loved the opportunity to create memories with his wife, children and family. Whether it be traveling out of town for the day just to eat or having a family cookout where his dad cooks all his favorites. Those are the memories that will live with us forever.
Deveon is survived by his parents Claudia and Alfredo Ramirez, (wife) Jorden Peoples, (children) Deveon Jr, Aiyanna, and Damir. He is also survived by his siblings, Andre (brother), Irasema, LuzElena, Tyesha, and Dalaysha (sisters) and many more family members.
He was preceded in death by family members, Feliciana Nunez Perez, Jose Maria Solorio, Antonio Nunez, Simon Prieto and Aurelio Jesus Solorio.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with graveside services following after at Palo Verde Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life following after at 3:00pm at the VFW 2987 in Blythe.
