Deric Lamont Wickliffe, Sr. was born June 22, 1973, in Blythe, California to Steve and Patricia Wickliffe. He was the second of three children.

Deric confessed a belief and hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized along with his brother and his sister and they became members of St. John Baptist Church in Ripley, California.

Deric attended the local schools in Blythe and graduated from Palo Verde High School. He was active in sports and enjoyed playing basketball.

On May 25, 1996, Deric was joined in marriage to Leslie Jones. Two children were born to this union. They lived in Las Vegas, NV for a short while and he worked for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

In November of 2002 Deric entered a relationship with Tanissa White which would last 19 years to the day of his death. To this union nine children were born. Deric loved all his children deeply. Psalm 127:3 says, children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb in his reward.

Deric was preceded in death by his father, Steve Lamont Wickliffe, Sr.

He leaves to love and cherish his memory his mom Patricia Prater, Las Vegas, NV; his sisters Shanna Caliva and Stephanie, Las Vegas, Nevada; his brother Steve Wickliffe, Mesquite, Nevada; girlfriend of 19 years Tanissa White, Blythe, California, his children, Deric Jr. Phoenix ,Arizona; Darien, Nikoles, Cam'ron, Brandan, Isaac, Blythe, California; daughters Stevie Nicole, Phoenix, Arizona; Danye', Parrish, Loyalty, and Tanissa, Blythe, California; grandson Amias ,Phoenix, Arizona, Tanissa's three children, Manuel, Leonso, Merray and grandson Lucas; nieces Taylor-Diane, Tori, and Tyra, great niece Kehlani, and great nephew Kaizen, Las Vegas,NV and host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Blythe.
