Dema Louise Woten went home to be with the Lord at age 98 on November 12, 2025, in Rancho Mirage, lovingly surrounded by her family.

Dema was born on July 28, 1927, in Moundridge, Kansas, to Herman and Mattie Vogts. She attended school until the 8th grade and later proudly earned her GED. On September 21, 1946, she married the love of her life, Robert Hugh Woten, and they shared a devoted marriage until his tragic passing in 1977.

Dema worked in the agricultural industry for over 35 years before retiring at the remarkable age of 80. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church for more than 60 years, where she was cherished by many

She is survived by her children Robert (Kathi) Woten, Jacqueline (Mike) Heine, Mary Woten, and Linda (Steve) Martin; her grandchildren Julie, AJ, Daniel, Jonathan, Krista, Amanda, Kayla, Stephanie, Cassie, Brittany, and Elliot; great grandchildren Rasmus, Sofie, and Alfredo; her sisters Valeta Smith and Roselyn Cornell, along with many extended family members who adored her. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, and her brothers Marion, Leroy, and Edward.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 20th, at Frye Chapel. Burial will follow at Blythe Cemetery, with a reception afterward in the Zion Lutheran Church multipurpose room. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dema's remarkable life.
