Obituary

William Deion Stroschein was born on October 11, 1936 in American Falls Idaho. He passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2021. He was the oldest of three children born to William and Agnes Stroschein. As a child the family moved to Blythe because of his father's health. He attended schools in Blythe, graduating with the class of 1955 from Palo Verde High School. He started working on the family farm at a young age and continued to farm throughout his life. He was married 9 years and had two sons. Then after being divorced for 9 years he met the love of his life, Kathy, they were together for nearly 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Beverly McKinney, his son Mark Northington, and his daughter's Lisa Northington, and Ginger Olmsted. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Stroschein, his sons Lynn (Wendy) Stroschein, Donald (Angela) Olmsted, George Olmsted, Scott (LaWana) Stroschein, and Alan Northington. Grandchildren Jessica, Jesse, Kasey, Justin, Zach, Briana, Nicole, Jeremy, Stephen, Tyler, Raenette, Jacob, Andi, Kaylee, Amy, Charlie, Natalie, Cynthia, and 19 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister Karen Wood who followed him in death 3 weeks later.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Frye Chapel, 633 N. 7th Street, Blythe, at Noon. There will be a gathering at the VFW Hall immediately following. Interment will be on February 7, 2022 at Vernon Cemetery, Vernon Arizona, at 12:00 Arizona time.
