David Zeeb was born in 1946 and passed away on February 10, 2018.

David worked hard his entire life. He started working when he was 14 years old delivering papers, and at a muffler shop at age 15 in the bay area. He drove a forklift for a cannery in Martinez every summer during high school. He worked for Standard Oil in Richmond, CA loading chemical trucks. While living in Concord, CA in 1967 he joined the International Laborer's Union to work in the trans-bay tube from Oakland to SF under the ocean and under pressurized air. He worked at pouring all the sidewalks for Bay Area Rapid Transit. He poured concrete on the spectacular Dumbarton Bridge. Commuting to San Francisco and Sacramento (Highway 80 bypass), over 200 miles to day so his family stay put in Concord. Then in 1975, he moved to Sonora, CA where his family lived for over 20 years so he could work on the New Melones Dam Project. In 1981, he promoted to Supervisor and moved the family to Guri, Venezuela to work on the world's largest concrete dam at the time. During this time, his family was able to travel extensively throughout the Caribbean. After returning from Venezuela, his family continued to travel. In 1994 he found himself weary of "hard work", so he applied for Correctional Officer and was sent to Blythe's Chuckawalla Valley State Prison. After six years he transferred to Ironwood. He said working at the prison was "gravy". He said all he had to do was follow Title 15 and be respectful. He was medically retired after a total of 14 years due to back and heart surgeries.

He was pre-deceased by his son, Daniel Zeeb in 2010. He is survived by his wife Judy, his daughter Karie, daughter Dee Dee and his brother Raymond in Antioch, CA. David requested no services.
