David Vazquez was born in Bakersfield, California on February 8, 1977 and passed away August 10, 2020 in Blythe, California.
He graduated from Palo Verde High School where he ran cross country, was on the wrestling team and also excelled in autos, woodworking and welding. David started boxing at the age of eleven. David was training with Zamudio when he won the NABF Champion 'Feather Weight'. His reign began on Feb. 25, 2000 and he continued boxing.
David worked for Laborers International Union of North America. He was also a member of the St. Joan of Arc church.
He leaves behind three children, David Vazquez Jr., Alyssa J. Vazquez and Eleana J.G. Vazquez.
David spent all of his free time with his children camping at Big Bear and having fun at the Colorado River with the jet skis. He made sure his children were healthy and active, putting them in ballet, gymnastics, boxing, kickboxing, jujitsu, karate and self defense classes. They swam their way to become certified as junior lifeguards, while also wrestling, playing baseball and soccer, taking guitar lessons and reminded to always be thoughtful of others.
David is also survived by his mother, Gloria Vazquez; brothers, Ceasar R., David IV and Eduardo Vazquez; and his sister, Leticia Ramirez.
Services will be held on Monday, August 24th at Frye Chapel with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Rosary starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial services will follow at Palo Verde Cemetery.
