David Maya, 50, of Blythe, CA. passed away on March 17, 2022 after a valiant battle with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer.  David was born on November 5, 1971 to David and Rosa Lynn Maya in Lynwood, CA. David graduated in 1990 from Columbus High School located in Downey, CA.

David deeply enjoyed being a father, a hunter, a fisherman, a part-time handyman and a work-a-acholic!(LOL). David worked for the Department of Corrections for 17 years as a Correctional Supervising Cook and an additional 2 years for the Personal Kitchen (PK). David is survived by his Fiancé Tina Black, his mother Rosas Maya, his sisters Patty Villalobos, Erica Maya and his two brothers Edgar and Egbert Maya.  David has three children, Jonathan, David Lee and Joshua Lee Maya.  David was also blessed with two grandchildren, Julian and Jocelyn Maya.  Also his best friend, four-legged son Ruger and his little brother Kai were inseparable.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, starting at 12 noon at the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post #2987, located at 148 1st Street, Blythe, CA.
