David Lopez Felix, lovingly known as "Chilino," passed away on November 17, 2025, in Blythe, California, at the age of 74. He was born on May 30, 1951, in Mexicali, Mexico, to Aurelio Felix and Lidia Lopez Felix.
David spent most of his life in Blythe, where he worked as a dedicated farm worker and later in hotel maintenance. He was known for his strong work ethic, his quick humor, and his unforgettable storytelling—half true, half designed to make everyone laugh. He lived life to the fullest and developed a deep love for animals, always showing gentleness to every creature he cared for.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sharing half-truth stories with family and friends. His warm presence, adventurous spirit, and laughter will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Tony and Carlos; and his son Alberto Felix.
He is survived by his children Jose Aurelio Felix, Rosalva Felix, and Gabriela Felix; his grandchildren Anthony, Alyssa, Alex, Vanessa, Andrew, Nico, Marlena, Justine, and Victoria; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings Eduardo, Gloria, Francisco, Maria, and Ruben.
Visitation for David will be held at Frye Chapel and Mortuary Saturday, December 6th 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.
