Darlene "D" Ward entered Heavens gates on October 2, 2020 at age 60.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 16, 1960 to Miles and Daisy Ward. Darlene was raised in Blythe, California and attended Palo Verde High School, and graduated Class of 1978.

She is survived by numerous heart-broken friends and family including her children: Tamika Burrell, Jerrmiah Wright, and Jerry Wright her siblings: Linda Ward, Eddie Ward, Sheila Ward, Lloyd Ward, Anita Ward, and Miles Ward Jr. her Grandchildren: Ariana Burrell, Trevionne Burrell, Charles Crockett, Alisha Crockett, Kaylynn Wright, Gianna Wright, Jerrmiah Wright Jr., and Cadence Wright, and her significant other: Shane Cross.

Darlene loved her family and friends dearly, and her biggest accomplishment was raising her children and grandchildren to be strong leaders. She enjoyed listening to R&B music, cooking (known for her potato salad), hanging out with friends and family, and Arts & Crafts. Darlene was a dedicated mother of three, and her kids credit her for all of their successes in life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Frye Chapel.
