Daniel R. Garin, 72, passed away April 29, 2023 at his home in Cibola, AZ from underlying health issues.

He was born on March 2, 1951 in Patterson, CA to Robert E. Garin and Joyce Garin-King.

Growing up and all through high school he worked for his dad on their family farm, The Garin Co.

He graduated from El Centro High school and attended college where he began his service in the community by driving an Ambulance. He continued his career and attended the police reserve in 1975. He graduated and began working for Imperial County Sheriff's Office in El Centro, CA then transferred to Palo Verde, CA.

Palo Verde is where he called home and there he met his wife Cheryl A. Garin. Their son Frank D. Garin was born while living there. Dan, as we all know him, also volunteered with Palo Verde's Fire Department. He also served as Palo Verde's Coroner. Dan retired from the Imperial Sheriff Department on January 28, 2008.

Dan was preceded in death by his Parents Robert E. Garin & Joyce Garin -King, and a Sister Laura Garin.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Cheryl Garin, son Frank D Garin, and daughter-in-law Shannon Sheets-Garin; one Granddaughter Brooke-Ann A.Garin, her spouse Nicky Thompson, four grandsons Frank D. Garin JR., Thomas McRae, Zackary Sheets, Jordan D. Garin and 1 Great grandson, Jack Daniel Aden Sheets.  He also leaves one Brother Bruce Garin, his two Sisters, Elisa Garin Riggs, her husband Jim Riggs, Linda Garin-Morkrid, her husband Randy Morkrid, along with several nephews and nieces.

Viewing services will be held at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Blythe, CA on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 9:00 am with funeral services at 10:00 am. Graveside services will follow directly after the funeral.
