Clyde
Copeland
Jun 5, 1944 — Apr 17, 2024
Blythe
In loving memory of our father, son and brother, Clyde Copeland, who succumbed to a sudden illness on April 17, 2024.
Clyde was born on June 5, 1944 in Byron, Arkansas to Clyde and Neola (nee Scott) Copeland in his grandparent's home. He lived in Arkansas until the family relocated to Blythe, CA to begin a better life. Clyde attended the local schools. While in high school he worked at World Builders Supply and Foster's Freeze. After school he married and had one son, John, who is a nurse in Moreno Valley, CA.
Clyde worked construction with his dad and simultaneously served six years in the Army Reserve. He then worked at the Eagle Mountain Mine as a drill oiler. After leaving the mine he worked for Southern California Gas Company. He also got his Contractor's License and became a general contractor. After a time away he went back to work for the Gas Company. Upon leaving there he worked for a short time at the local school district doing maintenance and then for one of the local prisons doing the same. During all these years Clyde loved racing motor cycles and buggies, enjoying family and friends.
Clyde was preceded in death by his mother, Neola, father, Clyde, step-brother, Douglas Michael Brosman and his step-son, Daniel. He is survived by his son John (Kris} Copeland, brothers Wayne (Joyce), Jerry (Mary Anne), his sister Linda Stewart (Richard), step-sister, Barbara Gregg (Paul), and step-brother Patrick Brosman (Christy). Also, by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Clyde will always be missed and in our thoughts, we know he's in a better place. He always did things his way and strived for perfection in everything he did.
