Clarence Edward Jaime "Tito" died on May 6, 2020 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 98. Clarence was born in Redlands, California on March 22, 1922 to Clarence Duarte Jaime and Erlinda Martinez Jaime. He grew up in Colton, California and graduated from Colton Union High School where he played baseball and football. After graduation, he eloped to Las Vegas on October 1, 1941 with his high school sweetheart Ruth Eileen Pippin. They were married 77 years before her passing March 28, 2019.

He was a WWII veteran serving in the China-Burma-India Theater spending most of his time in Luliang, China as an Air Transport Technician. After the war, Clarence pitched baseball for the Pioneers and Ontario Orioles of the Sunset Class C League. He also played for the Monterey Portes (Colts) in Monterey, Mexico. He holds several Minor league pitching records and his baseball contract is held in the Baseball Hall of Fame Archives.

Clarence had a varied and long career including the Colton Cement Plant, Douglas Aircraft, and the Crane Pacific Company. He retired from the Tri City Rock and Gravel Company as a Master Mechanic Foreman.

He is predeceased by his parents, wife Ruth Eileen, daughter Rose Marie, sons Andrew, Paul, son-in-law John Kanner, brothers Robert and Paul Jaime, half-brother Louis Flores, and sister Evelyn Colby.

Clarence is survived by daughters Judith Kanner Gordy, Teresa Rivera Castillo, son John Jaime and sons-in-law Gomercindo Castillo and Leonard Gordy.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jack Kanner, Lisa Tolan, Jennifer Rivera, Joseph Rivera, Mario Castillo, Monica Jaime, and Paul Jaime. His great-grandchildren include Alayna Rivera, Matthew and Justin Kanner, Anthony and Lucas Tolan, Christian and Isaac Rivera, Izabella Rivera, Alexis and Paul Jaime, Eric, Erin, Erica, Evangeline and Audrina Jaime.

Although Clarence did not die as a result of the Corona Virus, the social distancing due to its prevalence in California necessitates a private interment at Palo Verde Cemetery in Blythe, California on May 13, 2020. A memorial celebration will be planned for the spring or fall of 2021.
