Obituary

Christopher David McCullugh, known affectionately as Cefo, passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 37 in Spokane Valley, WA. Born on July 12, 1985, in Blythe, CA, Christopher brought joy and laughter to the lives of those around him.

Generous, loving, and funny, Christopher had a remarkable personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a great sense of humor, always ready to bring a smile to people's faces. Christopher had a passion for making others feel comfortable and cared for, which he demonstrated through his work as an aide at an assisted living facility. He dedicated himself to tending to the needs of his residents, providing them with compassion and support.

Outside of work, Christopher had a love for music and enjoyed playing the guitar. He found solace and happiness in strumming the strings, creating beautiful melodies that resonated with his soul. Christopher also cherished spending time with his beloved dog, "Red," who was a constant source of companionship and affection.

Christopher will be deeply missed by his mother, Amy McCullugh, and father, Ron Arteaga. He leaves behind his siblings, Autumn (Kent) McCullugh-Walsh, Skyler Rhoades and Timothy Pullins, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews: Christy (Alex) Gregg, Christy (Josh) Jakell, Jane McCullugh, Gloria Arteaga, Mike McCullugh, Robert Arteaga, Mary (Eddie) Cortazar, and many others.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ron and Betty McCullugh, and Al and Mary Arteaga, who undoubtedly welcomed him with openarms.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Frye Chapel in Blythe, CA (92225). This gathering will serve as an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share stories, and honor the memory of Christopher McCullugh.

Christopher's departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. His warm heart, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness will forever be cherished. May his spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
