Obituary

Chris was born Christopher Louis Cross on September 25, 1964 in Riverside, California to Opal and Earley Cross.  As a young child, Christopher played sports and loved fishing with his brothers.  At the age of five years old, he began working with his father every weekend doing landscaping for their neighbors in Blythe, California. Alongside his other brothers, he continued doing landscaping as his father got closer to retirement.

In 1987 Christopher married Sadie Nicholson, and had two wonderful and beautiful children Kris and Christopher Cross, also better known as "CJ".  He moved and began working for Dan's Feed and Seed and Star Milling Company in Perris, CA. Christopher and Sadie tragically lost their son Christopher in January 2010. He left them a precious gift - their first granddaughter Christajia Cross, born in July of 2010.

Christopher's work ethic led him to move around to a few states; he lived in Kentucky, North Dakota, then back to Clovis, California. Eventually Christopher moved closer to his daughter Kris in Hemet, CA.  Christopher enjoyed hanging out with his grandchildren, being the silly, goofy prankster he was.

In 2015, he then married his life long partner, Richard Nelson.

Christopher lived his last days at home with his daughter, daughter-in-law and grandchildren by his side. He made his final transition to join his parents and son in Heaven the afternoon of October 4th 2024, with his family by his side.

Services will be held for Chris on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 with visitation starting at 10am and funeral services beginning at 11am.  All services will be held at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Blythe, CA.
