Charles Edward Sanchez, better known as Charley, 43, slipped into eternal rest on September 14, 2021 at his home in Blythe, CA. Charley was born on September 27, 1977 to Rosario and Linda Sanchez.

Charley was always the light in the darkness. He was a loving son, a beloved uncle, a wonderful brother and an exceptional friend. He was proud of his hometown, Palo Verde, and all the friends he made there.

Charley attended school in Blythe; Appleby and Ruth Brown Elementary, Blythe Middle School, Palo Verde High and Palo Verde College. Charley started his career with California Department of Corrections in 2008, promoting several times throughout the years and finally settling in as the Property Controller II at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison.

He had a passion for photography, he took the best pictures: giving others a view of something in a different light. He encouraged, enlightened, taught, mentored and was a friend to all. A kind simple man, Charley will be forever missed by his family, friends and the entire community.

Charley is proceeded in death by his Father Rosario Sanchez, Step Father Joe Parker, Grandparents Paul and Neva Tibbetts, Uncles Jose, Manuel, Albert Sanchez and Aunt Ruth Levias.

He is survived by his Mother Linda Sanchez, Brother Anthony "Tc" (Raquel) Sanchez, Sister Rebecca Brandenburg. Nephews Nathan and Ryder Rivera, Raylan Brandenburg. Nieces Calie Rivera and Paisley Sanchez. Uncles Richard Tibbetts and Emilio Sanchez. Aunts Lupe Velasco, Raquel Duenaz, Maryann Craine, and Anastasia Douglas. His best friend, Yvette Touchton and boys; Shai, Jevin and Zander. Along with many, many family members and friends.

Services for Charley will be on Monday, October 4, 2021. Viewing at Frye Chapel at 9:00 am, services to start at 10:00 am. A celebration of life immediately following at the VFW in Blythe, CA.
