Carol Simons, age 87, formerly of Blythe, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. A believer in the Lord since the 60's, she is now embraced in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ! Many have been waiting for her in heaven!

Carol was born to Charles (Don) Cookston and Helen Cookston on July 3, 1936 at home near Meeker, Ohio. She lived there until 1948 when the family moved to Blythe, California. She fondly remembered the Cookston home in Meeker and her family there. Her parents preceded her in heaven along with her brother, Dick Cookston. Her loving sister Anne Herrera remains.

Our mother was a very loving person. She loved to help people in whatever way she could. Her life was filled with many memories of times with her family. Her family was important to her and through her two marriages she was a blessing to all.

She was married to Charles Poole (deceased) in 1955 at the Methodist Church in Blythe, California. Together they raised four sons, Greg Poole, Charles Poole Jr (Rick), Steve Poole, and Jon Poole.

July 2, 1994, she remarried her husband for the rest of her life, Bert Simons. Bert's children are Terrie Trippy, Jeff Simons, Stephanie Paull and Bert (Tim) Simons. Bert's son Robert preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at Frye Chapel on Wednesday, November 15th at 10:00 AM with graveside service to follow at the Palo Verde Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
