Carmen Limon passed away at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona on January 20th, 2021 due to Covid-19 and pneumonia complications.

Mrs. Limon was born on March 24th, 1939 in Blythe, California to her parents Antonia and Miguel Perez. She graduated in 1957 from Palo Verde High School and quickly went to work in her hometown. Mrs. Limon spent her professional years in the packing sheds, all the while, working at Cornet Department Store. She quickly became manager until the doors officially closed for business. She then spent years at Palo Verde Hospital as a cook supervisor. In that time, she found her passion as an instructional aide for Appleby Elementary School, where she continued to work as an afternoon supervisor and as a custodian in the summer time until her retirement at the age of 79.

Carmen Limon had a passion for working that was unmatched. Every job she held her employers and co-workers alike were quick to admire, love, and appreciate her as a person. After retirement, she moved that passion to being an active member of the Shiloh Agape Ministries Church, as well as regularly attending Zumba, where she loved to dance with her friends of the community. Mrs. Limon will always be remembered for loving and caring for her great-grandchildren everyday she was able to.

Carmen Limon is survived by her son, Santiago Limon; grandsons Arthur and Gabriel Limon, and great-grandchildren Ezeoma and Arianna Obioha, Evan and Ariel Limon.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Santiago Limon.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd at 10 am at Frye Chapel and immediately following she will be laid to rest at Palo Verde Cemetery.  All are welcome to attend the ceremony following restrictions and precautions.
