Brenda
Rawlins
Jul 10, 1959 — Nov 27, 2024
Blythe
Brenda Kay Rawlins, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home November 27th, 2024.
Brenda was born on July 10th, 1959, in Talihina, OK. She was the fifth child and second daughter of Eunis "EJ" and Bonnie Deere. Brenda and her family moved to the Blythe area when she was a young girl. She attended Ripley school and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1977. During high school she began working to help her family, a quality she would be known for throughout her years. The most important thing to her was her family. Brenda moved away in her early twenties, from Long Beach, CA all the way to Pennsylvania. However, Blythe was always home.
In 1987, after moving back to Blythe she was reintroduced to Donald Rawlins. Their families were known to each other from working at EZ Stop for many years. It was an instant connection. In 1989 they welcomed their son, Jake. In 1992 they were married and welcomed daughter, Brittney. In 2001, Brenda retired from being a CNA and became a stay at home mom. During this time she would open her doors to family in need, always be available to give a ride or to watch a niece or nephew. She was affectionately known as "Bubba" to her family. There wasn't a baby that Bubba couldn't calm down or get to sleep.
In 2019, Brenda was given her most sought after role, Grandma. The bond created between her and Arya was unmatched. They were definitely "besties" and in Brenda's eyes, Arya could do no wrong. They loved to drive Papa crazy and spend his money!
Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, Steelers football, seeing her children happy, listening to music, cooking delicious meals, and enjoying margaritas. She would not want us to mourn but to celebrate the fulfilling life she had.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Donald, son, Jake (Julian), daughter Vanessa (Adam), daughter Brittney, granddaughter Arya, sisters Sandra Gayle (Gilbert), Karen Sue, Eunice Jean (Jim), brothers Arthur, Ronald, Robert and Roy. Also, many nieces and nephews, greats and great-greats. Her fur baby, Lily Rose and grandog Sora.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Eunis "EJ" and Bonnie Deere, nephew Alex Quiroz, In-Laws Bill and Guin Rawlins, and sisters in laws Sharon Barto and Nancy Rawlins.
Services for Brenda will be January 3rd, 2025 from 9AM-11AM at Frye Chapel. A luncheon at 12PM to follow at Frank Luke American Legion Post 24.
