Bob Darland, 86, known to many as "Shug," unexpectedly passed from this life on December 26, 2020.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Janice and their three sons: Darryl (Diana) of Blythe, CA, Michael (Kim) of Gilbert, AZ and Robbie (Trina) of Blythe, CA; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Jenna Baker of Texas. He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends.

Bob was born in Texas on August 18, 1934 as Bobby Ray Bryce Darland. He moved with his family to Blythe, California at the age of seven.

On May 4, 1956, he married the love of his life, Janice Osburn. In 1967, he and wife Janice started the Darland Fish Farm and ran the business until his semi-retirement in 1998, when youngest son Robbie took over the main business.

A small, private memorial will be held by the family and he will be laid to rest in Palo Verde Cemetery near his brother Jean and his parents, Jess and Edna Darland who have preceded him.
