Bob Fowler passed away during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 23, 2017.

He was born to George and Pairlee Fowler on March 28, 1925 in Ringling, Oklahoma and he and his family moved to Blythe during the Great Depression of the 1930's. His family, like so many others, came to California looking for agricultural work. Bob worked in the agriculture industry in the 1940's and later worked at the Shepwell's Company.

In his later years, Bob worked at the various card rooms in Blythe and earned a reputation as an excellent card player in the Lowball games and Texas Hold 'Em games.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Fowler, a former LVN at Palo Verde Hospital. They enjoyed great times traveling all over the Southwest after she retired.

Bob also loved to go fishing and to swap meets with his family and friends, as well as enjoying an occasional trip to the casinos in Laughlin, Nevada.

Bob leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces and friends who loved him dearly. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories about the good old days in Blythe.

Funeral services will be on Monday, July 31st at 10:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel in Blythe.
