Maria Beatriz "Betty" Cortazar Cebreros
August 17th, 1960 — July 28th, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Beatriz Cortazar Cebreros on July 28th, 2021.

Betty was born to Abigail (Garcia) Cortazar and Salvador Cortazar in the city of San Luis, Mexico and is the third eldest out of her 11 siblings. Betty has always worked hard from a very young age and also helped take care of her younger siblings. Betty soon married Oscar Cebreros on April 19, 1979 and they were happily married for 33 years before his passing on August 7, 2012. Together they had four amazing children: Canny Rodriguez (Mario Rodriguez), Cathy Cebreros (Mario Cota), Oscar Cebreros (Veronica Celaya), and Arantxa Cebreros (Gregory Rivas). They lived in Blythe for many years together and worked very hard to make sure their children were well taken care of. Betty was a dedicated wife and mother, however her joy was being a grandmother to all of her 12 grandchildren: Gisselle Rodriguez, Anabel Soto, Viviana Rodriguez, Alexis Rodriguez, Nia Rodriguez, Mario Cota, Victor Cota, Gregory Rivas, Gabriel Rivas, Catalina Rivas, Oscar Cota, Jayden Cebreros and also to her two great grandchildren: Trinity Thompson/Rodriguez and Victor Duenaz/Rodriguez. They all stole her heart. Betty love spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed going to the casino and watching her children and grandchildren play all types of sports. Betty was a part of the Catholic Church choir and loved being a part of the Bazaar and she also loved to sing anytime of the day.

Betty will be truly missed by all her loved ones. She was an amazing wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, god mother and friend. Till we meet again.

Betty is survived by her children Canny Rodriguez, Cathy Cebreros, Oscar Cebreros, and Arantxa Cebreros and her grandchildren and great grandchildren and many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Cebreros, father Salvador Cortazar, sister Eltania Monjaraz and her son-in-law Mario Rodriguez.

Maria Beatriz's viewing will be held on Monday, August 16th, 2021 at Frye Chapel from 5-8pm with Rosary at 7pm.  Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at St. John of Arc Catholic Church at 10am with a burial services following at Palo Verde Cemetery.
