Barbara Love lived a life full of joy and purpose. She was called home on Sunday, June 1st, 2019 in Blythe, CA., just three days before her 80th Birthday. Barbara was born in Blythe on June 4th, 1939 to Edmond L. and Frances Mae Jones. She was one of 13 siblings. As a young girl Barbara was known for always making lemonade and iced tea for her brothers and sisters when it was time to come in for dinner. She took pride in doing so.

Barbara had a true passion for helping others and always wanted to become a teacher. After she graduated from Palo Verde High School with the class of 1957; she continued her education at Palo Verde College where she majored in Early Childhood Development. She then became an educator and touched the lives of many children during her 25+ years teaching at Palo Verde Head Start. Barbara was also an active member of the Blythe Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She married Calvin Love and in 1973 gave birth to her only child Cydney, who was her pride and joy. Barbara was blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren Cierra, Andrew, and Ian, whom she loved to visit and spend time with. They were the love that filled her heart and were what brought her the most joy in life. Barbara or "Mrs. Love" which she was known as by generations of her students shined a bright light on the world and she will be missed tremendously.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter Cydney, grandchildren Cierra, Andrew, Ian, and son-in-law Gus. Siblings Eddie Beatrice Love, Carl Jones of Blythe, CA; Eunice Winston of Eagle Rock, CA; Roy Jones of Grand Terrace, CA; Julia Ann Mack of Eldorado Hills, CA; along with a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, plus many friends.

Barbara was proceeded in death by her parents Edmond L. and Frances Mae Jones, siblings Elmore Jones, William "Bill" Jones, Estelle Wilkins, Nina Hill, Charlie Jones, Delores White, and Martha Johnson.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 14th, 2019 at Palo Verde Cemetery at 9 a.m. A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 13th, 2019 at Frye Chapel from 5p.m.-7p.m.

"If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever."
