Arturo C. Avalos, age 62, passed away peacefully at home February 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 19, 1955 in Las Cruces, NM to Jose and Connie Avalos. Tudy, as he was known to friends and family, was a hard worker. He worked as a mechanic for many years with John Norton, Cosme's Propane and Jordan Implement. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but he was especially known for being the best Tati to all his grandchildren. He would enjoy watching sports, listening to all types of music and getting the family together as much as possible.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carmen Miranda Avalos; sons, Mike Miranda, Henry (Veronica) Miranda, Arturo (Rocio) Avalos; daughters, Monica Otero, Christina Avalos and 12 beautiful grandchildren; mother, Connie Avalos; brother, Henry Avalos; sisters, Susie (Raul) Castillo, Carmen (Martin) Rodriguez, Angie Avalos, Leticia Johnson, Jessica Soria; numerous nieces and nephews.
Tudy is preceded in death by his father, Jose Avalos; brother, Jose Avalos Jr.; sister, Rosie Martinez; brother-in-law, Fernando Soria.
A funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Mass beginning at 10:00 am. A potluck gathering will follow at the Margaret White Cafeteria at 610 N. Broadway in Blythe from noon - 4:00 pm. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who have reached out to offer their love and condolences.
