Obituary

Antonia Perez, (93 years of age) is a beautiful soul who was called to join the Lord on August 14, 2023, with her family by her side at her home in Blythe, California. She was born on May 20, 1930, in Thermal, California.

Antonia Perez came from a family of six children. Siblings: Sotera Reyes Parra, Santos Reyes, Modesto Reyes, Camillia Reyes Urrea, Pedro Reyes and surviving sister Vera Arias Rivas.

Antonia Perez lived her whole life in Blythe, California and she had eight children and also raised her brother's children in the late 70-80's.

Surviving Children: Dariel & Imelda Perez, Anita & Carlos Flores, Reyes Perez, Robert Perez, Carlos Perez, Christine & Joel Lopez, and Luisa Perez. Her daughter Olivia Ortiz Perez and husband Jose Ortiz Perez preceded her in death. She is also survived by an additional 28 Grandchildren, 87 Great-Grandchildren, and 14 Great Great-Grandchildren.

Antonia Perez was a strong woman known for her loving and caring heart. There was no limit to the amount of love she expressed to everyone she came across. She was a caregiver and mother figure to many. She worked for many years at St Joan of Arc as a housekeeper. Antonia was also a member of the Guadalupanas Society.

She was a Stage-4 kidney, lung, and spine Cancer Survivor , who was in remission prior to her passing.  During that time she traveled for seven years for her radiation and medical treatments that were successful in obtaining her remission.

She loved and absolutely adored spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also loved surprise visits from family and friends. She loved to cook, you always knew if you were at her house you were going to eat some good food. That was just one simple part of how she expressed the many ways she loved everyone; everything she did was with love and adoration. She had the largest heart that held room for each and every one of us and more. Her love had no limits.

Antonia had the unique capability to forgive, teach and love. You never carried any doubts, her love was always warm and comforting. She was the "Glue" to our large family. She was and will forever be our "Reina", our Queen.

With the gift of time, comes the treasure of knowing there are many who loved her in return. The memories she's made with us all will continue to fill our hearts until we are asked to join her and our God. The light she's shared with us all will never fade. The most wonderful gift we could ever receive is the special part of her that now lives in each of us. Her kind soul and caring ways have taught all of us how to love. We can only be strengthened by the gift of time…

For where roots grow deep, memories grow forever. So please join us in celebrating Antonia Perez's beautiful life.
